Hazardous Network

After joining The Hazchem Network in 2006, Welch’s Transport is able to respond to market demands of providing a high-quality and safe method of delivering ADR regulated materials.

With a quarter of Welch's fleet and drivers being ADR compliment, they are able to handle the majority of Hazardous Goods movements around the country.

In 2006, the strategic acquisition of Dods-Brown Distribution strengthened our experience in hazardous materials and has made us better equipped for more efficient and legally-compliant deliveries. We accept hazardous freight classes 2, 3, 4, 5.1, selected 5.2, 6.1, 8 and 9 as bagged product, in drums or cartons, on pallets, IBCs or polybulks .

Welch’s can provide safe storage of your hazardous goods with our 50,000 square feet facilities and we even operate specialist vehicles for clients where possible. We offer collections from Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Essex for onward delivery around the UK on a next-day or economy basis. Please see here for a detailed view of which time-critical services are available to each postcode.

The network offers next day nationwide service for single (or greater) pallet consignments and parcels:

  • Unparalleled service: 99.9% OTIF
  • 100% compliant: ADR fleets, DGSA, HERS back-up

The Hazchem Network handles over 1,000 pallets and parcels every night at their Rugby hub and deliver through 40 ADR Transport members in every region of the country. The Network was established in 2004 and is a winner of the 2005 Logichem European Supply Chain Project of the year.
