Stirling IT saves time for the client
The Stirling system, introduced through 2007 and described by Welch’s Group Sales and Marketing Manager as 'a fantastic customer service/communication tool' provides secure access to Welch’s website for the direct input of collection requests, saving valuable time for the client. It simultaneously builds a database of the client’s delivery points to which unique instructions can be attached, such as irregular or unusual opening times – a feature which, in turn, improves the reliability of on-time deliveries. Via the “e-Transport” facility clients can also interrogate the delivery status of their consignments and access scanned images of POD’s (Proofs of Delivery). For clients with larger volumes, consignments can be transferred by csv file; as a MicroSoft Excel® spreadsheet or by building an interface with the client’s own software.
