Welch’s Transport gets the blues
First up, the technical bit for you sharp-eyed colour buffs: After three family generations of trading in non-specific but Cambridge city-themed “Blue & Cream”, Welch’s Transport had settled on a new blue for all its new additions to the fleet, cleverly called "Truckers Blue" with a PMS code of 300.
Just to demonstrate the point, the first picture shows the old blue. Eueww!
And this second picture proudly boasts the new blue. Lovely.
Right! Now that we’ve dispensed with the technicalities, we can talk about the important stuff:
After a period of reluctant but necessary belt-tightening during the period of recession, Welch’s has loosened the constraints on its capital investment program by a few holes with the result that its philosophy of fleet re-investment is now breathing more easily with six older vehicles having recently been replaced.
